The Community Resource Center provides resources, materials and supportive services to Newaygo County residents interested in achieving self-sufficiency and enriching individual and family strengths.
Household Budgeting Family budgeting workshops are available through a partnership with NCCS Center for Nonprofit Housing; individualized budgeting guidance is offered by case managers.
Family Support Programs Case managers provide family workshops and support groups on various topics.
Tax Preparation Includes assistance with applying for Earned Income Tax Credit
On-line Resources Computers with internet access, as well as telephone, fax machine, copy machine and electronic media equipment.
Personal Enrichment Resources A wide range of audio-visual media resources (books, audio and video tapes, DVDs, etc.) covering a large spectrum of personal enrichment topics, such as building self-esteem, positive parenting strategies, preparing a will, starting a small business, etc.
Project Literacy Offers free, one-on-one tutoring in basic reading and writing skills for adults.
Student Loans Low interest loans for any accredited college, university or trade school are available to Newaygo County residents with limited financial aid resources.
